UPDATED 7/1/22: The mask requirement and the cap on the number of people in the studio at any given time have been lifted. Please have a mask handy in the event that another member using the studio prefers masking during the time they are there. Lifting the mask requirement is consistent with CDC guidelines based on the community levels of COVID-19 in Albany and surrounding Counties which is currently in the medium to low range (see guidelines below). Overscheduling of studio space has never been a concern, so imposing a cap seems unnecessary at this time. That could change. For now, please continue to use SignUpGenius to book space so members can consider the scheduled usage as they decide what times will best meet their needs.

Sign up for studio time by clicking on the link to SignUpGenius located on the WPS home page or by going directly to SignUpGenius. Enter the password “WPS” and then select the desired slot. Click “SIGN UP NOW” button to submit your reservation request. You will receive a reservation confirmation email. If you make a reservation that you are not able to keep, please cancel your reservation using the link provided in the reservation confirmation email you receive from SignUpGenius or by logging in to SignUpGenius and using the "edit" button.

CDC Community Levels of COVID
Community Levels are a new tool to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.

CDC Guidelines for communities in the Medium range are as follows:

  • If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions

  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines

  • Get tested if you have symptoms

  • People may choose to mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.

  • If you are immunocompromised, learn more about how to protect yourself.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO A HIGH INFECTION RATE AREA, ARE EXHIBITING COVID-19 RELATED SYMPTOMS, TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, OR HAVE BEEN IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE, DO NOT ENTER THE STUDIO UNTIL YOU HAVE FULFILLED QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS AS STATED BY NYS AND CDC, AND NO LONGER POSE A CONTAGION RISK TO OTHERS. VIOLATION OF THIS SAFETY PROTOCOL MAY RESULT IN TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP.

FOOD: Food brought to the studio should be for personal consumption and not shared with others. Food should also be carry-in/carry-out and not left behind, including any food that was being refrigerated. All eating should be limited to the kitchen area. Do not store food in refrigerator or freezer. Unopened beverages are the only exemption.

Thank you for your cooperation.
We care about you and the health of our potters community!
