Beyond Technique: Presence, Mechanics, and the Wheel

What to bring:

Please bring your favorite clay for throwing, notebook/pen and a bucket for your clay recycle if desired.

This class will focus on the process of throwing rather than any end product

About the instructor:

Cassandra Kennedy is a ceramic artist and educator working between the Berkshires and Hudson Valley. In addition to maintaining an active studio practice, she teaches pottery at a luxury wellness center, where she has guided thousands of people at the wheel. Drawing from her background as a yoga teacher and wellness educator, Cassandra's approach integrates wheel mechanics, body awareness, and mindfulness to help potters develop a deeper understanding of both their craft and their practice.
